“Estudio elemental del Levante” es un réquiem por una forma de vida que tuvo su momento de loco esplendor. Es una partitura delirante y su estructura musical es el caos, la provisionalidad. Este trabajo pretende exprimir los significados que ofrece el entorno más inmediato del fotógrafo, donde se pueden encontrar manifestaciones de todos los fenómenos, de todas las relaciones. El triángulo conformado por la palmera, la charanga y el picudo rojo define el mapa espiritual del crash sistémico de la España contemporánea, de un choque violento y chirriante. Todo conforma una sinfonía disonante. En las imágenes mismas se escucha, como una alerta desesperada, el alarido estridente de los metales.

Playing with such meanings, photography works here as a collection of prints that group together in a symphonic score made of several voices, under the pervasive surveillance of brass bands. “Elemental Study of Levante” is a requiem for a way of life that had its moment of crazy glory. It is a delirious musical score and its musical structure is a temporary chaos. This work aims to squeeze the meanings offered by the photographer’s most immediate environment, where you can find manifestations of all phenomena, of all the relationships. The triangle formed by the palm, the brass band and the red palm weevil defines the spiritual map of the systemic crash of contemporary Spain, a violent and creaky shock. It all forms a dissonant symphony. A desperate warning, the shrill screech of metal can be heard in the images themselves.
